│This program presents a role-play situation in which you are asked to act as interpreter in a dialogue between an English-speaking person and a native of the foreign country.
Translate the words of the English speaker as accurately as possible.
The computer will comment on your input as far as this possible and scan for common errors, but not every type of response can be analysed.
The programme can be used for individual work, but an even better procedure is for students to work in pairs or in groups with a dictionary available and to discuss possible input in order to
'beat' the computer.
Help with accented characters and with vocabulary is obtained through the HELP menu.

He is carrying one small bag.
The Customs Officer asks if he has anything to declare.
The answer is no.
The officer wants to know if the gentleman has certain items.
He is asked to open his bag.
In it he has books, clothes and toilet articles
He has also a bottle of whisky- a present for a friend!
